Commissioner’s Cup Invitational
AYSO 1315
The Commissioner’s Cup Invitational is a single elimination tournament held after regular season play. The following criteria needs to be met to be invited to the Commissioner’s Cup:
To ensure that all competitive games have adequate referee coverage for the 2023 Fall Season each team must earn 16 referee points by the end of the regular season (11/4/2023). A minimum of 6 points (and maximum of 10) must be accrued by end of Week 5 (10/7/2023).
For U10, all teams meeting the ref points requirement participate in the invitational
For U12, all teams meeting the ref points requirement participate in the invitational
Please note that teams participating in the invitational are subject to change based on scheduling and logistics.
Invitational Seeding
Invitational seedings are first done by regular season game points (6 for each win, 3 for each tie, -3 for send offs, etc). In the event there are two or more teams with an equal number of game points tie breaker rules are used to determine seedings:
Most wins (e.g. a record of 5-3-1 would qualify ahead of a team with a record of 4-2-4 even though both teams would have 16 points)
Fewest goals against.
Head-to-head result, if any.
Goal differential, limited to 5 per game.
Coin toss by the commissioner.
