10U program

The 10U program was developed to continue player development in a fun yet competitive environment. After the completion of the regular season a post season tournament is played with the top two teams receiving trophies.  The winner of the post season tournament is eligible to move on to the area tournament.

Season Length
The season runs from March until the middle of May.

Time Commitment
Practice approximately 90 minutes once or twice a week (depending on the coach's schedule). Games are played on Saturday along with a few non-standing league games on Sunday. The game consists of two 25 minute halves.

Each player will be given a uniform which consists of a jersey, shorts, and socks. The player must provide soccer cleats, shin-guards, and a size 4 soccer ball.

Certification Required
All volunteers must be registered AYSO Volunteers, and all coaches must be Safe Haven Certified.

Referee -Regional Certification

Game Format
The game is played field 7 vs. 7, under a modified FIFA rule system. The game is played in 4 quarters. Substitutions are done at each quarter, and there is a short break after the second quarter.

Team Formation
The teams are formed via a draft. The player ratings are provided to all coaches prior to the draft. There are no more than 9 players on a team.

Referees refrain from but still can issue foul yellow cards. Red cards are extremely rare but can be enforced. The build-out line is also used in 10U. Foul kicks are direct kicks. Bad throw-ins from the touchline are now considered as infractions and given a throw to the other team. The corner and goal kicks are used in this division but there are no headers.
